Longevity and IQ correlate for (almost entirely) genetic reasons
ISIR member Rosalind Arden in the news with data from three large epidemiological samples showing that the well-known link between high IQ and longer lifespan is largely genetic in origin.
Computer IQ?
Researchers at Microsoft Beijing have written a computer program to solve IQ test items. This is a long standing field in ISIR-member's research, with computer algorithms used to both create (the work of Just) and model the solving of Raven's items (they can be translated into simple algebra and arithmetic).
It's also an interest of ISIR founder, past-president, and St Petersburg President's invited speaker, Professor Doug Detterman.

2015 ISIR Prize Ruben Arslan
Ruben was born in Aachen, Germany, and studied psychology at Humboldt University Berlin. He is now working toward a PhD at the Georg August University Göttingen in the Biological Personality Lab with Lars Penke.
His research takes an evolutionary approach to individual differences. He has studied paternal age effects on intelligence, personality, mortality and fertility. He hopes to gain an understanding of mutational influences on individual differences and by extension the genetic architecture of traits such as intelligence.
